Kondapochamma Reservoir
A Major Irrigation Project:: The Kondapochamma Reservoir is a key component of the massive Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), a multi-purpose irrigation project in Telangana. This reservoir is the final storage point in the chain, lifting Godavari River water up to a height of over 600 meter s above sea level. It is a modern marvel of engineering designed to provide irrigation and drinking water to large parts of the surrounding districts, including Siddipet, Medchal, and Medak. Inaugurated in 2020, the reservoir has a storage capacity of over 15 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic Feet). Its creation has dramatically transformed the local agricultural landscape, ensuring water security. The reservoir is not only a functional site but also a popular tourist spot due to its vast expanse, picturesque setting, and the sheer scale of the dam and pump house.
