Historical Stay of Guru Gobind Singh Ji: This Gurudwara is a site of immense religious and historical significance for the Sikh community. It is built at the sacred spot where Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the tenth Sikh Guru, resided for about eight months in 1685 at the invitation of Raja Medini Prakash o f Sirmaur State. This stay was before the Guru moved to Paonta Sahib. It serves as a testament to the close historical ties between the Sikh Gurus and the rulers of the Sirmaur princely state. Preservation of Heritage: The Gurudwara complex carefully preserves items and structures associated with the Guru’s visit. Most notably, the place where the Guru Granth Sahib Ji is installed is the exact spot where the Guru used to sit on his throne. There is also a historic well (Borha) constructed by Raja Medini Prakash to cater to the water needs of Guru Ji's camp, which still exists today.
