The collected waste is segregated, with organic matter composted into manure and used in the fields.

How to Reach

By Air: Nearest airport is Shillong Airport or Guwahati International Airport. From there, take a taxi.

By Train: Nearest major railhead is Guwahati Railway Station. Then, hire a car or take a bus.

By Road: Easily accessible from Shillong (approx. 90 KMS) and Dawki (approx. 20 KMS) via NH-108. The roads are generally well-maintained.

Local Transport: The best way to experience the dustbins is by simply walking through the village.
