Leisure Valley is not a single place but a unique and continuous stretch of gardens and parks that meanders through the heart of Chandigarh, spanning over 8 kilometers. It is one of the most brilliant and innovative features of Le Corbusier's city plan, designed to serve as the city's lungs and a re creational haven for its residents. The valley is a chain of various themed gardens, each with its own character and charm. It begins at the Capitol Complex with the Rajendra Park, then flows into the Rose Garden, followed by the Bougainvillea Garden, the Leisure Valley, and the Smriti Upvan. The design's genius lies in its ability to connect these different green spaces, providing an uninterrupted green corridor for walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The valley is home to a wide variety of flora, from colorful flowers and ornamental shrubs to tall, shady trees, making it a pleasant escape from the city's concrete jungle.
