It features two massive courtyards: the "Mardana" (men's) and the "Zenana" (women's). The building stands about 40 feet tall with multiple levels. The façade is decorated with ornate Jharokhas and a massive wooden door with brass fittings. The dimensions of the inner courtyard are approximately 40 feet by 40 feet, surrounded by pillared corridors. The architecture displays a transition from traditional Rajput styles to colonial influences, evident in the use of certain arches and the arrangement of rooms. The walls are made of thick brick and lime mortar, providing excellent thermal mass. The frescoes are the most significant architectural element, covering almost every square inch of the walls and ceilings. The "Gold Room" features frescoes with actual gold leaf. The upper floors have carved stone railings and offer a look into the complex ventilation system used to keep the haveli cool. This structure is a perfect example of how the wealthy merchants used architecture to signify their transition from simple traders to influential patrons of art. -
