Turtle Nesting and Hatching Season: The period from December to March is the major natural event. The Goa Forest Department closely monitors the nests and organizes extremely limited, supervised viewing opportunities for the public to witness hatchlings, which is the beach's most significant annual occurrence.

Olive Ridley Turtle Nesting: Galgibaga is primarily famous as a vital conservation site and nesting ground for the endangered Olive Ridley Sea Turtle. Visitors come specifically during the nesting season (December to March) for the rare chance to witness the nesting or hatching process under Forest Department supervision.
Pristine & Untouched: Unlike many popular Goa beaches, Galgibaga maintains a raw, non-commercialized beauty. The absence of crowds, loud music, and permanent structures makes it a haven for peace and nature lovers.
Silver Sands: The sand here is notable for its silver hue, contrasting beautifully with the clear blue waters, enhancing its photo-worthiness. -

Dimensions: The beach is approximately 1. 7 kilometers long. There are no large commercial or permanent concrete structures. The only structures are a few simple, removable beach shacks constructed with bamboo and thatch at the extreme southern end. The northern half is completely devoid of development, marked off as a protected zone with simple wooden fencing by the Forest Department to secure the turtle nests. The meeting point of the Galgibaga River and the Arabian Sea forms a striking natural water architecture (estuary).
Minimalist/Eco-Conscious: The overall design ethos is one of extreme minimalism to ensure the environment remains undisturbed, particularly for the turtles. -
