How To Reach Chhoj Village

Kasol, Himachal Pradesh, India:
Village Overview and Vibe: Chhoj Village, often mistaken for the Choj near Kasol Bus Stand, is a truly secluded and elevated village offering stunning panoramic views of the Parvati Valley and the nearby roaring waterfalls. It is less frequented by mass tourists compared to Chalal, making it one of the valley’s quieter destinations. The trek to Chhoj is slightly more challenging and rewarding, ascending steeply from the banks of the Parvati River. It is an ideal spot for serious hikers, nature enthusiasts, and those who prioritize solitude and dramatic mountain vistas over the party scene. The village is characterized by traditional, rustic stone and wood houses, apple orchards, and a few charming cafes that offer basic but authentic local and international fare. Its elevated position means the air is crisper, and the views of the river meandering through the valley are spectacular. The village is an excellent base for accessing deeper forest trails and for experiencing the authentic, slow-paced life of a high-altitude Himachali community, removed from the commercial bustle. The primary draw is the quietude and the close proximity to natural spectacles like the nearby waterfalls, making it a meditative retreat.
