By Train: There is no railway station in Zanskar. The nearest major railheads are in Jammu (Jammu Tawi) or Srinagar. From the railhead, the rest of the journey must be completed by road to Padum.
By Road: Duzang Village is located very close to Padum, which is accessible by road only during the summer months from the Kargil-Padum road. The journey to Padum from Kargil is approx. 240 KMS. From the main Padum market/center, Duzang is a very short, easy walk or a very quick drive.
By Local Transport: Since Duzang is virtually a suburb of Padum (approx. 2-5 KMS), the best way to reach it is by a pleasant walk from your accommodation in Padum.
