By Air:



The: nearest major airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) in Guwahati, Assam (approx. 220 KMS). From Guwahati, hire a taxi or take a bus to Tura.

By Train:



The: nearest major railway station is Guwahati Railway Station (GHY). Follow the same road route to reach Tura.

By Road: Tura is the main hub. From Tura town, the Ganol River Side (near Rongkhon or the Hydro Project) is easily accessible by a short 15-20 minute drive. You can hire a local taxi (yellow top) or a shared-passenger vehicle (like a 'Magic' van or Sumo) which frequently ply the routes near the river.



The road is generally in good condition.

By Local Transport:

Hiring: an auto-rickshaw or a local taxi from the main Tura market area is the most convenient option.



The driver will be familiar with the various popular picnic spots along the river. Negotiate the round-trip fare, including waiting time, beforehand.
