The airport is located approximately 9 KMS to 10 KMS from the Jagannath Temple. Upon landing, you can easily hire a pre-paid taxi, a ride-sharing cab, or an auto-rickshaw directly to the temple's base or, if your vehicle is small enough, up to the hilltop. The journey by road typically takes about 30 minutes depending on traffic.
By Train:: Ranchi is well-connected by an extensive railway network. The two main railway stations are Ranchi Junction (RNC) and Hatia Railway Station (HTE). Ranchi Junction is about 10 KMS from the temple, and Hatia Railway Station is slightly closer, about 7 KMS away. Both stations have frequent express and mail trains connecting Ranchi to major cities like Patna, Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai, and Bhubaneswar.
