How to Reach

By Air: The nearest major airport is Agartala Airport (IXA), located approximately 160 KMS away. From the airport, one can hire a pre-booked private taxi or take a shared cab/bus to Dharmanagar. The journey takes around 5-6 hours. Another option is Silchar Airport (IXS), approximately 90 KMS away, also requiring a taxi or bus transfer.

By Train: Dharmanagar Railway Station (DMR) is the town's own station and is very well connected, being on the broad-gauge line. It is the most convenient way to reach Dharmanagar. The lake is very close, about 1-2 KMS from the station. Auto-rickshaws are readily available.

By Road: Dharmanagar is connected to major cities in Tripura and neighboring states via National Highway 8 (NH 8). Regular state and private buses (both AC and Non-AC) ply between Agartala, Guwahati, and Silchar. Hiring a private taxi is also a comfortable option.

By Local Transport: Within Dharmanagar, the lake is easily reachable by auto-rickshaws (the most common local transport), cycle-rickshaws, or even a short walk from the central market area.
