By Air: Nearest major airport is Tiruchirappalli International Airport (TRZ), about 150-160 KMS away. Hire a taxi from TRZ directly to the Karaikal area, specifically asking to go towards the port road or Keezhavanjore Village.
By Train: Karaikal Railway Station (KIK) is about 5 KMS from the general port area. A taxi or auto-rickshaw is necessary to cover this distance, as the viewpoint is not on a main walk-able route from the station. The ride takes about 15-20 minutes.
By Road: The viewpoint is accessible via the Beach Road and the coastal road that runs north towards the port area (near Keezhavanjore Village). Karaikal is well-connected by NH32. Private vehicle or a pre-booked taxi is the most convenient way to reach the exact viewpoint location, as local bus services may not have a stop directly at the spot.
By Local Transport: Hire a dedicated auto-rickshaw from the Karaikal town center. Ensure the driver is aware of the specific "Port Viewpoint" location, as some areas near the port are restricted. Agree on a round-trip fare, including waiting time, as public transport from the viewpoint is limited.
