How to Reach

By Air: The airport is around 10 km away. A taxi or an app-based cab will take you directly to the edge of the Old City. Since the streets near Manek Chowk are very narrow, the cab might drop you at Pankore Naka, from where it’s a 5-minute walk.

By Train: The Ahmedabad Junction is very close, only about 2 km away. You can even walk if you don't have much luggage, but a quick auto-rickshaw ride is recommended. The rickshaw will take you through the historic gates of the walled city, which is an experience in itself.

By Road: Major highways lead into Ahmedabad. Once in the city, aim for the "Relief Road" or "Gandhi Road" area. Parking is very difficult in the Old City, so it is highly recommended to leave your vehicle at a designated parking lot outside the walled city and take a rickshaw.

By Local Transport: The AMTS buses have a major terminus at Lal Darwaja, which is a 10-minute walk from Manek Chowk. Rickshaws are the best way to navigate the narrow lanes. The "Heritage Walk" organized by the city also passes through this area, which is a great way to reach.
