How to Reach

By Air: The journey begins at Guwahati Airport (GAU, approx. 170 KMS) or Shillong Airport (SHL, approx. 103 KMS). From the airport, the only way to reach the accommodation is via road transport to Mawlynnong village, which involves a pre-booked or hired taxi.

By Train: The arrival point is Guwahati Railway Station (GHY, approx. 170 KMS). From GHY, take a bus or shared Sumo to Shillong (4 hours). From Shillong, take a shared or private cab directly to Mawlynnong. It is essential to pre-arrange with the Guest House host for a pick-up from the village entrance/parking to avoid confusion, especially if arriving after dark.

By Road: The Guest House is generally accessed from Shillong (78 KMS) or Dawki (25 KMS) via private/shared taxis or tour vehicles. The road network is the lifeline. Upon arrival in the village, the Guest House will be a short walk from the designated tourist parking area, which is usually located near the village entrance. The winding roads through the Khasi Hills offer a beautiful scenic journey.

By Local Transport: Once inside the village, you reach the Guest House entirely on foot using the central paved walkway and residential paths. Luggage may be carried by a local porter (often a young villager) for a small, negotiated fee, but no motorized local transport is permitted within the core area.
