How to Reach

By Air: To reach the Paved Walkway's starting point, fly into GAU (170 KMS) or SHL (103 KMS) and take a taxi to the Mawlynnong main entrance/parking area. The walkway starts immediately upon entering the core village area.

By Train: Take a train to Guwahati (GHY, 170 KMS) and then travel by road to the village entrance. The walkway begins a short, approximately 5-minute walk from the ticket counter and parking lot.

By Road: The walkway is the centerpiece of the village, starting near the main tourist vehicle drop-off point and leading through the entire settlement. You drive from Shillong (78 KMS) or Dawki (25 KMS) to the village entrance, and then the walking experience begins.

By Local Transport: The Paved Walkway is the local transport system for the village. The entirety of the walk to see all the attractions (Church, Hall, School, etc. ) is done on these paved paths. No motorized local transport is available or required within the core tourist/residential zone.
