How to Reach

By Air: Nearest airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai (BOM) (approx. 90 KMS away). Take a taxi to Neral and proceed to Dasturi Naka.

By Train: Take a local train from Mumbai to Neral Junction. From Neral, take a taxi to Dasturi Naka. From Dasturi, either walk (approx. 6. 5 KMS), hire a pony, or a hand-pulled rickshaw.

By Road: Drive from Pune (approx. 120 KMS) or Mumbai to Dasturi Naka. The final stretch of 4 KMS from the market to the point must be done via non-motorized transport.

By Local Transport: From the Matheran Market or Station, hire a horse/pony, which is the most common and scenic way to reach this point, or walk the quiet, long forest trail. :
