Nizamabad, Telangana, India:
Pedda Gutta, locally known as Bada Pahad Dargah, is a renowned Muslim pilgrimage site and a symbol of communal harmony. It houses the shrine of the revered Saint Hazrat Syed Sadullah Hussain and is situated atop a scenic hillock. The site attracts a large number of devotees from both Muslim and Hin du communities, especially from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. It is known for its peaceful, spiritual atmosphere and the challenging climb of nearly 1000 steps to reach the shrine. The elevated location provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding plains and fields, making it a place of both religious and natural significance. The government is developing a ropeway project to improve accessibility to the hilltop shrine. The shrine’s historical roots trace back to the 14th century, reflecting centuries of shared culture and syncretic faith in the Deccan region. The term Pedda Gutta itself means 'Big Hill' in Telugu:

By Air: The nearest major airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) in Hyderabad (approx. 200 KMS). From the airport, hire a taxi or take a state transport bus to Nizamabad and then to the Dargah.

By Train: The nearest major railway station is Nizamabad Junction (NZB) (approx. 35 KMS). From NZB, hire an auto or taxi to Badapahad Dargah.

By Road: Badapahad is well-connected by road. Take a taxi, private vehicle, or a local bus from Nizamabad city towards Varni Mandal on the Nizamabad-Bodhan route.

By Local Transport: Local auto-rickshaws or hired taxis are the best options from Nizamabad city center or the nearest town like Varni, but ensure you negotiate the fare for the round trip:
