Alternatively, take a taxi or shuttle to Margao and then a local bus/taxi to Canacona. The new Manohar International Airport (MOPA) is much farther.
By Train: The nearest major railway station is Canacona Railway Station (CNO), which is on the Konkan Railway line and is approximately 20 KMS away. The nearest main junction is Margao Railway Station (MAO), about 40-45 KMS north. From Canacona station, a taxi or an auto-rickshaw is the most reliable way to reach Polem Beach. The train journey provides scenic views of the Western Ghats.
By Road: Polem is well-connected by road, lying close to the NH 66 (formerly NH 17). It is approximately 45 KMS from Margao and around 25 KMS from the popular Palolem Beach.
