Overview: The Poreyahat Shiva Temple, also known as Singheshwar Nath Dham, is a revered ancient shrine located near the Poreyahat-Hansdiha road. This temple is situated at a unique geographic point where three small rivers—Baghmati, Taramati, and Triveni—are said to meet, although the flow is se asonal. The temple's history is steeped in local legends, with some attributing its construction to King Bhimsen hundreds of years ago. It serves as a major center of faith for the people of the Santhal Pargana division. The main sanctum houses a Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shivalinga that is highly venerated. During the holy month of Sawan, the temple becomes a focal point for 'Kanwariyas' who bring holy water from the Ganges to offer here.
