Social Structure:The Old Town’s layout is a physical representation of the traditional social structure of the weaving community, where kinship ties are strong, and every household is part of the larger production chain. Preservation Challenge:The area faces challenges in preservation, with many older structures being replaced by modern concrete buildings, yet pockets of historical integrity remain, offering glimpses into Sircilla’s past.

By Air:Nearest airport is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) (140 KMs). Take a bus or taxi from HYD to the Sircilla bus stand.

By Train:Nearest major station is Karimnagar (KMNR) (40 KMs). Frequent buses or shared taxis operate from KMNR to the main Sircilla bus stand.

By Road:Accessible via State Highways. Frequent TSRTC buses connect Sircilla with major towns like Hyderabad and Karimnagar. Get down at the main bus stand.

By Local Transport:The Old Town Area is very close to the main bus stand and Gunj. A short walk (5-10 minutes) or a minimal auto-rickshaw ride (approx. INR 20) will take you into the heart of the area.
