How to Reach

By Air: The nearest major airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (GAU) in Guwahati, Assam (220 KMS). From GAU, take a taxi or shared Sumo to Tura. The road journey is scenic but long (5-6 hours).

By Train: The closest railhead is Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) (220 KMS). From GHY, take a bus or shared Sumo from Paltan Bazaar/ISBT Guwahati to Tura. The road transport covers the final 6-7 hours of the journey.

By Road: Tura is accessible via NH17 from Guwahati and is 323 KMS from Shillong. Both MTC and private buses, as well as shared Sumo taxis, operate daily services to Tura. The journey can be demanding but offers stunning views of the Garo Hills.

By Local Transport: The Cathedral is located in the Chandmari area. From the Tura city center, it can be reached in 10-15 minutes by a short taxi or shared auto-rickshaw ride. Due to its prominence, local drivers know the route well.
