How to Reach
By Uphill Walk:The Turtuk Monastery is not motorable for the last leg. From the main village parking area, it is a 20-30 minute strenuous uphill walk along a well-defined but uneven path. Wear comfortable shoes.
Local Taxi/Hiring:A taxi from Leh is the most convenient way to reach Turtuk. Shared taxis from Hunder are also an option.
No Train Access:There is no train connectivity to this remote region; air and road are the only options.
