By Air: Fly into Pune International Airport (PNQ, 65 KMS) or Mumbai International Airport (BOM, 90 KMS). A taxi is the best option from the airport to Lonavala town, followed by local transport to the dam.

By Train: The nearest station is Lonavala Railway Station (LNL), which is only 5 KMS away. The train is a convenient and fast way to reach the town center from Mumbai or Pune.

By Road: Valvan Dam is located very close to the old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH4) and is easily accessible by car. It is a very short, simple drive from the main Lonavala market area (15 minutes). The road is well-paved, and the location is generally easy to find using GPS navigation.

By Local Transport: Auto-rickshaws are the most common and easiest way to reach Valvan Dam from anywhere in Lonavala town. The fare should be minimal (typically less than Rs.100) due to the short distance. Local taxis are also available for a slightly higher fare.
