Khol Hi-Raitan Wildlife Sanctuary

Panchkula, Haryana, India
Khol Hi-Raitan Wildlife Sanctuary is a sprawling protected area covering over 4,883 hectares in the Shivalik Hills. Established in 2004, it is a vital ecological zone that connects the wildlife corridors between Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The sanctuary is a paradise for nature lovers and bird wa tchers, offering a diverse range of flora and fauna. The landscape is characterized by steep slopes, sandy loam soil, and dense forests of Khair and Sal trees. It is also home to numerous bird species, making it a hotspot for ornithologists.
