Nokrek National Park
Nokrek National Park, designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2009, is an ecological and biodiversity hotspot situated in the heart of the Garo Hills. It is one of the most significant protected areas in Northeast India. The park's main feature is the Nokrek Peak, the highest peak in the Garo Hills at an elevation of about 1,412 meters.
