The temple is west-facing and measures approximately 18. 78 meters in length and 12. 58 meters in width at its base. The most striking feature is the Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum), which is situated about 5. 0 meters below the main plinth level, requiring devotees to descend a flight of stairs to reach the deity. The main Shivlinga is made of black stone and has a diameter of 80 cm. The doorjamb of the sanctum is highly ornate, standing 4. 43 meters tall and featuring delicate carvings of river goddesses Ganga and Yamuna, along with floral and faunal motifs. The pillars in the Mandapa are square at the base, measuring 50x50 cm, and show a high degree of craftsmanship despite the weathering of time. -
