It is said that while the Guru was resting here after the battle of Muktsar, he noticed a crow that was behaving strangely. The Guru shot the crow with an arrow and later explained to his followers that the crow was actually the reincarnation of a former village headman who had been cursed for his misdeeds. By killing the crow, the Guru granted the soul 'Mukti' (liberation), showing his compassion even towards those who had erred. This story is central to the identity of the village and the shrine. The Gurudwara was originally a small structure but has been expanded into a beautiful marble edifice over the years. It sits in a low-lying area that often looks like a vast pond due to the local geography, giving it a unique "floating" appearance during certain times of the year. The shrine is a place of deep devotion, where the local community gathers to celebrate the Guru’s power of liberation.
