Satrenga Picnic Spot
Satrenga Picnic Spot is the most popular family-oriented area within the Satrenga tourism complex. Unlike the adventure-heavy boat club area, this spot is dedicated to relaxation, group gatherings, and traditional picnics. It is located along the shaded banks of the reservoir where massive trees pr ovide a natural canopy against the sun. Large groups from Korba, Bilaspur, and Janjgir-Champa visit this spot, especially on Sundays and holidays. The area is equipped with basic amenities such as clean drinking water, public toilets, and designated cooking areas where families can prepare fresh meals. The sound of the water lapping against the shore combined with the chirping of birds creates a festive yet peaceful environment. Children have plenty of open space to play games like badminton or cricket, while adults can relax on mats spread across the grass. The picnic spot is also a cultural melting pot where you can see local families enjoying traditional "Basi" (fermented rice) and "Cheela."
