For the local community, the area around the cave is a spot for traditional riverside gatherings during the dry season. There are no loud festivals inside the cave to protect the sensitive bat population. However, the village of Siju celebrates its local harvest festivals with great fervor, and visitors during this time can witness traditional dances and music. It is a time of sharing local rice beer and stories about the cave's ancient guardians. :Best Photo Spots:

The cave system has a surveyed length of over 4. 7 Kilometers, making it one of the most extensive in the subcontinent. The entrance is a wide archway that leads into a series of massive "halls," some of which are over 20 meters high. The Princess Di’s Chamber is a particularly famous section, featuring sparkling calcite formations that resemble a royal hall. The dimensions vary from narrow "squeezes" to vast galleries. The limestone is rich in fossils, some dating back millions of years. Natural pillars, formed where stalactites and stalagmites meet, act as the "columns" of this underground palace. The floor is mostly composed of river silt and bat guano, through which a perennial stream flows. : -
