Dalima Peak, also widely known as Tura Peak, stands majestically at an altitude of approximately 872 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the immediate vicinity of Tura. This iconic natural landmark is the backdrop to the Tura town and is a part of the greater Nokrek National Park buffer zone and the Tura Range. The peak is not just a geographical feature; it is steeped in local folklore, where it is believed to be the sacred abode of the local deity, Durama (or Dura), which is said to be the original name before the British mispronounced it as Tura.
