Udayan Buddha Bihar
Udayan Buddha Bihar is the oldest Buddhist monastery in the state of Tripura, established in 1933. It is a vital cultural landmark for the Chakma and Mog Buddhist communities of the region. The monastery is home to a magnificent idol of Lord Buddha made of 'Ashtadhatu' (eight metals), which is a ra re piece of religious art. The Bihar serves as a school for novice monks and a center for meditation and community gatherings.
