Weather And Best Time To Visit In Lingshed
Weather and Best Time to Visit
Summer Season: From June to September, the mountain passes are clear of snow, making the village accessible. Daytime temperatures are pleasant, ranging from 15°C to 25°C, though nights remain quite chilly even in the peak of summer.
Winter Season: During January and February, the village is only accessible via the Chadar Trek on the frozen river. This is an extreme adventure time when temperatures drop to -30°C, and the landscape is completely buried under snow.
Parts of Day: Early mornings are best for spiritual experiences, while late afternoons offer the best lighting for the monastery. Sunset in the valley is brief but spectacular, as the peaks glow orange before the quick onset of the night.
