Its association with the Ganga Dynasty and King Bhanu Deva adds to its historical prestige. The 18 arches represent a unique hydraulic design that was ahead of its time in the 13th Century. It is also famous for the legend of the Pandavas, who are believed to have stayed near this area during their exile. It consists of 18 spans or arches, with the central arch being the largest and the others decreasing in size symmetrically. The bridge dimensions are approximately 85 meters (280 feet) long and 11 meters (36 feet) wide. It was constructed without the use of modern cement, instead utilizing traditional lime mortar and interlocking stone techniques. The piers are solid and designed to withstand the heavy flow of the Musa river during monsoons. The façade is decorated with intricate carvings of deities, floral patterns, and celestial figures, though many have eroded over time. -
