Natural Design: Being a wildlife sanctuary, there is no major man-made architecture, but the Forest Rest Houses follow a rustic "Chung" style. These wooden structures are elevated on stilts to protect against rain and wild animals. The main rest house has a footprint of about 150 square meters. It uses local bamboo and timber in its construction, reflecting traditional Assamese forest architecture. The watchtowers are made of reinforced concrete but painted to blend with the trees. They stand about 15 meters tall, providing a canopy-level view. The paths within the sanctuary are kept natural to minimize environmental impact. Small bridges over streams are built using fallen logs or simple stones. The administrative office at the entrance is a simple brick structure with a sloping roof. The overall "architecture" of the sanctuary is its massive canopy of ancient trees. Nature is the primary architect here, creating complex layers of vegetation. -
