Chennakesavaswami Temple
The Chennakesavaswami Temple is located within the same historical cluster as the Erakeswara temple in Pillalamarri. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in his beautiful form as Chennakesava. It was built during the peak of the Kakatiya era, showing a blend of Shaivite and Vaishnavite harmony i n the region. The temple stands as a symbol of the artistic excellence achieved during the 13th Century. The idol of the main deity is carved from dark stone and is known for its serene expression. The walls of the temple are filled with stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata carved in relief. It is a smaller temple compared to the main Shiva shrine but holds equal spiritual importance.
