Dhareru Dhaam

Bhiwani, Haryana, India
Dhareru Dhaam is an ancient and spiritually charged destination dedicated to Lord Shri Shyam (Barbareek). The temple is legendary for housing an Akhand Jyoti (eternal flame) that has been burning continuously since the year 1422. This makes it one of the oldest seats of Shyam Baba in the region, pr edating many modern shrines. The village of Dhareru has become a pilgrimage hub, especially for those who cannot travel all the way to Khatu in Rajasthan. The temple was originally a small structure but has been expanded into a magnificent complex through the contributions of the local community and devotees from across India. The Dham includes a beautiful Shyam Kund, Radha Kund, and a lush Shyam Vatika. The spiritual significance of the place is heightened during the month of Agahan, when a 10-day grand fair is organized. Thousands of devotees arrive on foot (Nishan Yatra) to offer colorful flags to the deity. The environment is filled with the chanting of "Jai Shri Shyam," and it is believed that a single glimpse of the deity here can resolve all life's troubles. The temple trust also maintains a herbal park and a cowshed (Gaushala), promoting a lifestyle of service and nature conservation.
