Gurudwara Shri Barth Sahib

Pathankot, Punjab, India
Religious Significance: This Gurudwara is built at the site where Baba Sri Chand Ji, the eldest son of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, spent a significant part of his life in deep meditation. It is a place of immense peace and historical importance for the Sikh community. The legend says that Guru Arjan Dev Ji v isited this place to invite Baba Sri Chand for the compilation of the Adi Granth, and he waited for six months while Baba Ji was in meditation. The atmosphere here is deeply meditative, with the sound of Gurbani echoing through the halls. The Gurudwara complex is spacious, featuring a large Sarovar (holy tank) where devotees take a dip. It serves as a bridge between the Udasi sect and mainstream Sikhism, honoring the legacy of Baba Sri Chand’s ascetic lifestyle.
