The Jai Ganesh Mandir is a prominent and relatively new temple in Malvan, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the revered Hindu deity of wisdom, prosperity, and good beginnings. Built by Shri Jayantrao Salgaonkar, a renowned astrologer and publisher of the popular Marathi almanac 'Kalnirnay,' the temple is known for its unique architecture and spiritual ambiance. The main sanctum houses a beautifully crafted, gold-plated idol of Lord Ganesha, flanked by statues of Riddhi and Siddhi, symbolizing prosperity and accomplishment. What distinguishes this temple are its intricate details and the spiritual thought put into its design. The temple walls are adorned with various idols of Ganesha in eight different traditional postures, known as Ashtavinayak forms, each depicting a unique aspect of the deity. According to local belief, on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, the first rays of the sun directly fall upon the feet of the idol, a phenomenon that draws numerous devotees.
