How To Reach Anjani Mahadev Temple

Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India
History and Legend: The Anjani Mahadev Temple is named after Anjani, the mother of Lord Hanuman, and it is widely believed that she performed her penance and meditated at this very site to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Pleased by her devotion, Lord Shiva is said to have granted her darshan here. This mythological association gives the place immense spiritual significance.Natural Wonder: The temple is most famous for a spectacular natural phenomenon: a large Ice Shivalingam that forms under a cascading waterfall during the colder months. This formation, often reaching heights of 20 to 25 feet, is compared to the holy Amarnath cave, attracting hundreds of devotees and tourists. The Ice Shivalingam is the main draw, making the temple a must-visit during the winter season. The trek is short but scenic, providing a holistic experience of spirituality and nature's raw beauty, surrounded by the towering Himalayan peaks and a tranquil environment, offering a serene escape from the town's hustle and bustle. The journey itself is an integral part of the experience.
