How to Reach
By Train: The closest railhead is Pathankot Cantonment (PTKC), about 80 KM away. Hire a cab or take a local bus from Pathankot to the Dalhousie bus stand.
By Road: Dalhousie is well-connected by National Highway 154 (NH 154) and other state highways. Buses from major North Indian cities are frequent. Once in Dalhousie, you can walk from the town center, or take a taxi to the Bakrota Hills area on the road that leads towards Khajjiar. The drive from town to the hills is short and scenic.
By Local Transport: Local taxis from Gandhi Chowk or Subhash Chowk are readily available and charge a nominal fee to take you up to the starting point of the Bakrota Walk. The walk itself is mostly covered on foot.
