By Train: The nearest broad-gauge station is Kalka (KLK), 96 KMS away. From Kalka, the Kalka-Shimla Toy Train runs to Shimla Railway Station (SML). An even closer stop is the Summer Hill Railway Station, which is part of the heritage line, located only about 2 KMS from the falls. This is arguably the most scenic way to get close to the falls' starting point.
By Road: Chadwick Falls is around 7 KMS from the main Shimla ISBT/City Center via road to the Summer Hill area. Taxis, private cabs, or local buses can take you to the motorable roadhead near Summer Hill. The route is generally well-maintained up to the start of the forest trail.
By Local Transport: From The Mall Road or Shimla Railway Station, the most common way is to hire a local taxi or auto-rickshaw to Summer Hill and then commence the final 2-3 KMS trek on foot. The walk from Summer Hill is scenic and highly recommended for its natural beauty. The route is not suitable for public city buses all the way, so local cabs are the best option. :
