How to Reach

By Air: Fly to Leh's Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL), approximately 175 KM away. From Leh, hire a licensed taxi, crossing Khardung La Pass, to reach Panamik. The drive is significantly longer, about 7-8 hours.

By Train: Not feasible. Nearest major station is Jammu Tawi (JAT), over 900 KM away, requiring multiple days of road travel to Leh and then Panamik.

By Road: Panamik is about 55 KM from Diskit. The route from Diskit takes approximately 2 hours by car. Shared taxis are available from Diskit village and the Nubra Valley's main transport hubs. Ensure your Inner Line Permit allows travel to Panamik.

By Local Transport: Hiring a local taxi from Diskit or Hunder is the most reliable option for this route, as public buses are infrequent. The road is well-maintained but remote.
