Introduction to Eco Park: Eco Tourism Park, popularly known as Eco Park, is India's largest urban park, covering an area of 480 acres. It was inaugurated in 2013 and is surrounded by a massive 104-acre water body with an island in the middle. The park is a brainchild of Chief Minister Mamata Banerje e and was designed to promote ecological balance in the expanding New Town area. It is divided into different zones like ecological zones, theme gardens, and recreational areas. The most famous attraction is the Seven Wonders of the World replica section. The park also features a Japanese Garden, a Butterfly Garden, and a Tea Garden. It is a heaven for fitness enthusiasts who use the long jogging tracks and for families who enjoy boating and cycling. The park is so large that it offers internal transport like battery-operated carts and a toy train. During the winter season, the park transforms into a carnival-like atmosphere with flower shows and food festivals. It serves as the "lungs" of the city, hosting thousands of trees and various bird species. The musical fountain in the evening is a major draw for tourists. Eco Park is not just a garden but a comprehensive entertainment hub that includes activities like zorbing, kayaking, and archery.
