By Train:: Belagavi Railway Station (BGM) is the closest major railhead, situated only about 2 KMs away. From the station, the lake is easily reachable in 5-10 minutes by auto-rickshaw (tuk-tuk), local city bus, or a short taxi ride.

By Road:: Belagavi is well-connected by National Highway NH 48. The Belagavi Bus Stand (KSRTC/NWKRTC) is just 2-3 KMs away. Travelers can take a city bus or a local taxi/auto-rickshaw directly to Fort Lake. The lake is a well-known landmark, making navigation easy.
