By Train: Not practical. Nearest major railway station is Jammu Tawi (JAT), over 800 KM away. Road travel is necessary from Leh.
By Road: Kardong is located on the main road between Khardung La Pass and Diskit. It is about 40 KM from Diskit and about 50 KM from Khardung La. Shared taxis and buses from Leh pass through this village.
By Local Transport: Stopping here is easiest with a private taxi or self-drive vehicle, as public transport will only stop briefly.
