How to Reach
By Train: The nearest railhead is Jammu Tawi or Udhampur, located over 450 kms away. From there, you must travel by road via the Zoji La Pass, which is an adventure in itself.
By Road: Kargil is a major stop on the NH1 highway connecting Srinagar to Leh. Private taxis, JKSRTC buses, and shared cabs are available daily from both major cities during the summer months.
