By Train: The nearest major railway station is Guwahati (GHY) (150-160 KMS). From Guwahati Railway Station, take a bus or shared taxi (Sumo/Maxx) to Jowai, which is a 3Rs.4 hour scenic drive.
By Road: Jowai is well-connected by NH-6 (National Highway 6). Regular bus services and shared taxis (Sumo/Maxx) run between Shillong (66 KMS) and Jowai (about 2 hours). From the Jowai Bus Stand, hire a local cab to the monument (Syntu Ksiar is very close to the town center).
By Local Transport: Within Jowai, local taxis or auto-rickshaws are the most convenient way to reach the monument, which is a short 10Rs.15 minute drive from the main town market area. :
