By Train (Railway Station: MYS) Mysore Junction (MYS) is approximately 3 km away. An auto-rickshaw is a fast and easy way to reach the main gate near the University campus. By Road (Bus Stand/City Centre) The lake is very close to the city center, only about 3 km away, and borders the University of Mysore (Manasagangothri).
By Local Transport: Auto-rickshaws are available and should charge a minimal fare. It is easily walkable from the University area and nearby residential zones. It is a major stop for local city buses. It's an ideal spot for a quick morning visit from any central hotel using a cycle-rickshaw or by walking. The main entrance is often near the Kalamandir (Theatre) area, which is a key local landmark. :
