Establishment and Control:: The Military Mahadeva Temple is a uniquely managed Hindu shrine in Belagavi, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It was officially inaugurated in 1955 by Lieutenant General S.M. Shrinagesh, General Officer, and Commander-in-Chief Southern Command. The temple is situated within the B elagavi Cantonment area and is meticulously built and maintained by the Indian Army, specifically the Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC), lending it a distinct sense of discipline and patriotism. How to Reach

By Air:: Belagavi Airport (IXG) is about 15 KMs away. Hire a taxi/cab to the Cantonment Area/Camp Road, which will take about 30-40 minutes. The temple is a well-known military landmark.

By Train:: Belagavi Railway Station (BGM) is relatively close, around 3 KMs distance. The temple is reachable by auto-rickshaw or taxi in about 10-15 minutes.

By Road:: The Belagavi Bus Stand is around 4 KMs away. Due to its location on the well-known Camp Road in the military area, it is easily accessible by city bus or auto-rickshaw.

By Local Transport:: Local auto-rickshaws (tuk-tuks) and prepaid taxis are the most common ways to reach the temple. Since it's in the Cantonment area, the roads are usually well-maintained and traffic-free, ensuring a smooth ride.
