How To Reach Nagarkurnool Lake & Mini Tankbund
How to Reach
By Train (Nearest Railway Stations): The nearest major railway stations are Mahabubnagar Railway Station (MBNR), about 50 KMS away, or Jadcherla Railway Station (JCL), about 70 KMS away. From either station, one must hire a local taxi or take a state-run bus to the Nagarkurnool Bus Stand. The town itself does not have a functional rail line.
By Road (Bus/Car): Nagarkurnool has excellent road connectivity via State Highways. It is well-served by TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) buses from major cities like Hyderabad (130 KMS), Kurnool (110 KMS), and Mahabubnagar (50 KMS). If driving, take NH 44 (Hyderabad-Kurnool Highway), and then a State Highway deviation towards Nagarkurnool. The lake is easily reached, being only 1 KM from the Nagarkurnool Bus Stand.
By Local Transport: Within the town, the Mini Tankbund is easily accessible via local auto-rickshaws (autos) from any part of Nagarkurnool. Since it's only a short distance from the bus stand and main areas, you can also easily walk there in about 10-15 minutes. Local shared tempos or jeeps are also available on certain routes that pass close to the site.
